Back in 1999, after years of directing major business conventions, our two founders shared one vision: to reinvent the way professionals connect. They created the agency with a clear DNA : building targeted business matchmaking at events driven by innovative industries.
Our key differentiator lies in organizing one-to-one business meetings within the B2B formats we produce and co-produce alongside national and regional stakeholders.Throughout the following decade, we built strong alliances with key institutions, helping them organize business conventions that unite their communities and focus on the industries of the future.
event management platform
The agency grew rapidly, establishing itself as a key player in creating business opportunities at B2B events through qualified professional meetings.
With this growth, the agency developed new areas of expertise, and our team expanded to meet the evolving needs of the event market and our clients.
To enhance the experience at events, we developed our first event management platform, which integrates participant registration, an advanced search engine, and automated meeting scheduling.
VIMEET is born
Our events in France and abroad were experiencing rapid growth. After winning the PM’Up competition in 2014, we partnered with the Thales teams to develop Vimeet — our intuitive, customizable business meeting platform that helps organizers manage their B2B events more effectively.
Building on this success with event organizers, we created a dedicated Business Unit within the agency to focus on growing this activity. From then on, we became not just event organizers, but also platform publishers and service providers for independent organizers.
Turning the Covid crisis into opportunity
After successfully running our very first fully digital event in 2019 and proving we could transform a physical event into a digital one in just 24 hours, we were ready to support many organizers in digitizing their business events throughout the Covid period.Thanks to Vimeet, numerous event professionals were able to compensate for the inevitable downturn in activity caused by the pandemic.

25 years ago, I founded PROXIMUM, a company dedicated to creating affinity-based events, centered on people, with One-to-One matchmaking as part of our DNA. And it’s all in the name we chose to represent this DNA: Proximity and Humanity!
When you are an entrepreneur starting a company, it’s not only because you have a business project, it’s also because you have a vision of how you want to bring it to life, especially from a human perspective.
Over a quarter of a century, many collaborators have joined the “Proxiteam,” and many are still part of the “Proxifamily” today because they embraced our values and even helped spread them further.
